”Large” and “Small” Sets

The words "large" or "small" in any bedding set name refers to the cage size that the sets will fit, not the number of products included in the set. The “large” ferret bedding sets are designed for the width of most Ferret Nation and Marshall cages, while the “small” sets are designed for most Super Pet, Prevue, and Martin’s cages.

Circle Bed

Circle beds have a very high ferret-approval rating. Depending on the size of your bedding set, you will receive a circular bed with a diameter from 7 to 12 inches with sides that rise up from 2 to 6 inches. These beds are always padded for extra comfort. Large circle beds are a great place to snuggle up with a friend, and small circle beds are a cute quiet place for some alone time! Small loops are attached to most beds to assist in securing them to a cage.

Pocket Hammock

A pocket hammock -- also known as a “split” hammock -- is a hammock that fulfills your ferret’s need to hide. The hammock has an opening in the middle that allows the ferret to climb inbetween the top and bottom layers. The outside of the hammock is usually patterned with a cotton print, while the inside is fleece.

Reversible Hammock

A reversible hammock usually has a cotton print on one side and fleece on the other. You can hang the cotton print topside in the warmer months and the fleece side up in the cooler months. Reversible hammocks are almost always padded for extra comfort.

Sleep Sack

A sleep sack is a ferret version of a sleeping bag. Small loops of nylon webbing or ribbon are often put at the bottom corners of sleep sacks to help insure that the sleep sack stays where you wish it to (instead of being dragged off and stashed).

Super Sleep Sack?

Super sleep sacks are similar to their smaller cousins, but have two main differences. Super sleep sacks are much larger than sleep sacks purchased with bedding sets; the one pictured is 19” by 28”. Super sleep sacks are open on both ends for your ferret’s convenience. These are great to put on the floor of your home for when your ferrets are out of their cage to play. Approximately one yard of cotton print and one yard of fleece goes into each super sleep sack.

Toys

Toys are made from the same fabric as the bedding set it comes with. Toys range in size from 2 in. to 6 in. Each toy is stuffed and includes a bell or other noise-making insert. Styles vary, but all are great for stashing! Pictured is a toy set that spells out the word “ferret”.
