To what locations will Ferrets at Heart ship?
Ferrets at Heart provides shipping services only for the USA through PayPal's shopping cart. Please email us, if you are interested in having specific items sent to another country; we will attempt to accommodate your shipping needs and email you the estimated shipping cost and directions on how to place an international order.
What are the shipping methods available for my order?
Ferrets at Heart will ship Priority Mail anywhere in the USA. UPS Ground shipping is available to the 48 contiguous United States and DC (not Alaska/Hawaii), and is often a better value for large orders. Refer to the paragraphs and tables below for shipping costs and expected delivery time to your state.< PayPal's shopping cart will automatically provide you with the shipping options and pricing for your order, based on the total order weight and the shipping destination.
Please take note that the shipping costs listed on this page apply to items purchased directly from ferretsatheart.com and do not apply to eBay auctions. You can find us on eBay as Ferrets-at-Heart.
What will my shipping cost be using Priority Mail?
Priority Mail shipping is calculated based on the total weight of your order, the cost to package your order, and your distance from Ferrets at Heart.
To know your Priority Mail shipping cost right now, either have PayPal’s shopping cart calculate it for you, or use the tables provided. To use the tables, find your state in the first table. There will be a number listed in the “Zone” column to the right of the state’s name. That is the number of the shipping zone you are in in relation to Ferrets at Heart. Look in the second table to see the shipping costs for that zone. Every item in our store lists a shipping weight, so that you can easily calculate your shipping cost.
Priority Mail may not be the best shipping choice for customers on the west coast. Customers, whose Priority Mail cost is high, may benefit from UPS Ground, which has a minimum cost of $15.00 and has a maximum cost of $20.00. Another option is to make separate purchases to lower Priority Mail cost on large orders. Experiment with the shopping cart’s shipping calculator to see which shipping method is best for you. Remember that these rates will not apply to purchases from us on eBay.

A star symbol in the next table represents a Priority Mail shipping cost that is greatly to your disadvantage, when compared to the UPS Ground cost for the same weight. You will still be offered the Priority Mail cost, in addition to the UPS Ground cost, in the shopping cart. If your order will cost over $15.00 to send via Priority Mail, we recommend you choose UPS Ground as your shipping method. Remember that insurance and tracking are free with UPS Ground. UPS Shipping is discussed in the next section of this page (after the Priority Mail shipping tables).

What will my shipping cost be using UPS Ground?
UPS Shipping pricing is much more simple – No charts needed! If you are in the 48 contiguous United States and DC (not Alaska/Hawaii), you can choose UPS Ground over Priority Mail (except in the case of eBay auctions). If your order weighs 4 pounds or less, the UPS Ground cost will be $15.00. If the total weight is over 4 pounds, the Ground cost will be $20.00. UPS Ground is often the better option for buyers west of the Mississippi River, especially Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Delivery time will be 5 business days or less. Shipping insurance and tracking are included at no additional cost, when you ship by UPS Ground. You will receive the tracking number for your order in the email confirming that your order has shipped.
Are shipping insurance and tracking offered?
Shipping insurance and tracking are provided at no additional cost for orders shipped by UPS Ground, but are not offered for orders shipped by Priority Mail. Once your shipment leaves our hands, the safe delivery of your purchase becomes the responsibility of the post office or UPS.
Can I send my purchase to a gift recipient?
Though we do not offer gift-wrap services, we encourage you to use Ferrets at Heart as your source for gifts for your ferret-loving friends. We will ship to whatever address you prefer, as long as you follow our shipping guidelines. If you need a gift shipped out of the USA, please email us about your shipping cost before you make the purchase.
